    I'm having trouble excluding the Affiliate Link post category from my Recent Posts widget.

    I have the widget setup as seen in this screenshot image.

    It looks like you're using the Jetpack's Widget Visibility feature. It does not prevent the affiliate category from appearing in the Recent Posts widget. Rather it hides the Recent Posts widget in the Affiliate category.

    Thanks Julia! I recently installed Jetpack and would have never figured that out.
