Since the 2.1.0 update, I've been getting a strange error while logged in as the admin. It says ""Connection lost. Saving has been disabled until you’re reconnected. We’re backing up this post in your browser, just in case."

Does anyone know what this might be?

    Thanks.

That's actually a little tidbit added in WordPress 3.6, it'll make an effort to save your draft locally if it loses connection to your server and is unable to save a draft the normal way... it's not a Genesis specific thing, if that's what you're wondering.

If your computer/browser can't find the server for an extended interval, it'll do the local save until it can find your server again.

I think this was added in tandem with that new logout screen, where it'll leave you in place with a pop-up login panel to reauthenticate so you won't lose your edits that way, either.

Thanks Summer. It seems to be really messing with my ability to actually update a post. I suppose it could be my network connection speed or something. the WordPress codex seems to indicate that certain plugins (though none that I have) tend to cause it.

I'll see if I can figure out if that's true and which one, and post back here.

    Thanks!
