Hi, We want to add a "donate" button in the upper right of the header area. However, when I added the text widget, it increases the height of the header area creating more empty space below the header image -- instead of aligning with the header so it is balanced. I've tried coding it different ways, but am at a loss. Any ideas?

You could use CSS to control the height of the header right widget area. You'll find the CSS around line 1020 in style.css

    Or

Remove the header right widget area and hook in your button HTML using genesis_header_right
