I'm using the Status plugin (http://premium.wpmudev.org/project/quick-status/) on the Outreach child theme.

The post format settings cannot be accessed because the theme does not support post formats.

This c0de snippet (http://my.studiopress.com/snippets/post-formats/) appears to be a solution. But I've inserted these codes to Outreach's functions.php file and this does not seem to fix the problem.

Isn't there another plugin for posts format status updates that may work better with Genesis?

I know that WordPress is adding post formats in the next version.

I know that Jetpack offers auto updates to different social media accounts.

Combined with the plugin linked in this tutorial, i think you're got everything you need.

Let me know if this works?
