    Used posts instead of pages to create 4 slides, which came out great. It caused TWO issues.

    1. In the primary slider (recent posts) it is showing the posts (images) that I used for the slider

    AND

    2. Those same slider posts are showing up at the bottom of the home page right below the featured section.

    HOW do I get rid of them both without affecting future posts.

    I resolved this issue by using a different slider (meteor slider) that uses images instead of posts or pages.
