    My client wants the tabs on the menu to be more like this website: http://soltisadvisors.com/ where when you hover over the tabs they appear to be lighter in color. See the Media and Blog tabs.

    According to what I can tell, the Education theme uses an image for the tab. This is how the site looks now: http://designitdigital.com/alpinecapital/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/OriginalTabbedNaviation.jpg

    I want it to look like this: http://designitdigital.com/alpinecapital/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/TabbedNavigation.jpg

    Then when I hover over a tab, it appears lighter (which I can create another of the blue tab image that is a lighter blue.)

    I just need to know how to style these. I tried to get the blue tab to show up on all menu items, but couldn't figure it out.

    Use Firebug to find the CSS which needs modifying
