Hi, I think the (new) Showcase Pro theme is conflicting with the Simple Edits plugin, so I'm looking for a different way to modify the post meta both above and below the content on single post entries, as well as on the index/blog archive pages.

For example I'd like the above the post meta to include the author name, but even though I've selected that option in Simple Edits, the author name does not show on the single posts.

Where would I modify this? In the functions.php file?

Hi I'm getting closer to a solution, but not there yet.

I found this article: https://sridharkatakam.com/post-authors-link-outside-the-loop-in-genesis/#comment-405623 which helps remove the meta info from single posts. Now I'm just trying to figure out how to get it to work on indexes/category archives as well.
