    I'm wondering if Visual Composer is compatible with StudioPress websites. I'm not able to edit Smart Passive Income theme's home page. I've been told that I could turn the Home page into a static page and that would work?

    Hi,

    there is no incompatibility.
    Visual Composer just does not work on widget areas.
    I seem to remember that there is an Add-on for Widgets but I don't know if it would work with the front page widget areas.

    Setting a page as homepage is fine.
    (Just make sure you don't have content in the front page widget areas / rename front-page.php)
