    Hello,

I am using the Genesis Simple Hooks > genesis_title Hook

to programmatically create my <title> </title> values.

This works fine. The problem is, the theme seems to automatically add another set of <title> </title> with the name of the page. So I end up with two title tags.

You can see this happening on my website https://www.kcsingles.com/who-are-we/. If you view the source of the page, the top title is what I set up and want, and the 2nd title is what I want removed.

    Any pointers? Thanks so much!

I am not using any SEO plugins. So somehow, the title tag is getting added by default. I have tried some remove actions, but not luck so far.

Instead of using the Genesis Simple Hooks, have you tried the built in Genesis SEO for this? Modifying the title there would replace the default title.

Thanks for answering AnitaC. My issue is that I want to set up Title of the website programmatically. We have multiple domains pointing to this installation, and each site gets its unique logo/title etc based on the domain.

Would using Genesis SEO allow such modifications using PHP? I couldn't see it. It just lets me input static values.

I am not sure on that one. It probably could however that would really be custom work to get it to work in that way. I'd try using ChatGPT on this and be specific in your terms and exactly what you're looking to accomplish. I've had great success using it to code up things I need.
