For the Education Theme, I cannot find information to display the widget area that is right of the slider on the home page. I really like the format on the demo so I would like to make sure I put the code in functions.php and home.php correctly. Does anyone know how to activate that widget? Thanks in advance for any help.

That is the secondary sidebar. is your default layout set to content-sidebar-sidebar?

I just discovered that. I did not have the content-sidebar-sidebar set as a default in Genesis>Theme Settings. Thanks so much for the quick response.
