    How can we get custom fields to display shortcode on our pages in Studio Press/Genesis Framework? For instance, we have created custom a custom field on a page template, where we wish to display a post news feed via shortcode such as: [ecs-list-events cat='openings' limit='1'] but it just shows up blank on the live page. (Although <iframes> work fine.) Thank you!

    Run your custom field value through do_shortcode() before outputting it. For example:

    echo do_shortcode( get_post_meta( get_the_id(), 'custom_field_key', true ) );

    The do_shortcode() function tells WordPress to render any shortcode passed through it.
