    Hello,

    I need to completely disable genesis's handling of meta descriptions AND restore wordpress's ability to generate and post them. I've seen various methods of turning them off but none of restoring them to wordpress default. Also, there seems to be several areas in genesis that modify descriptions so I need them all shut off.

    How can I restore all creation/posting of meta descriptions back to wordpress default ?

    From WordPress.org:

    It is important for website developers to understand that a default installation of WordPress does not contain the description and keywords meta tag data. Meta tags can be added manually, through changes to the Theme template files or through WordPress Plugins.

    Genesis does add that capability.
