    is there a way using genesis supported themes, that I can have a different background color on each page of my website?

    You can use a plugin http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/background-manager/

    Or simply use CSS code with the unique page i.d which you can grab from the source code for each page:

    .page-id-2 {
    background: powderblue;
    }

    You can specify a "custom body class" for each page.....then using that class you can do anything you want in your stylesheet that directly and only effects the page related to the class of choice.
