I created the site http://www.basileinsurancenj.com over 5 months ago. It has 80 pages but to date only 30 have been indexed by Google. I was wondering if the "Duplicate Post" plugin might have angered Google?

If you have posted exact copy of articles available on a different website, Google may not index it. I have not used duplicate post plugin. It is always recommended to post unique content. If you are posting content available some where else, at-least make effort to re-phrase to avoid Google penalty.

No it's not content duplicated from another website. I duplicated a new page then tweaked it to be keyword relevant.

So, you created duplicate copy of existing page on your website and tweaked it further (means added some more content to it) ?

Yes, added or changed the copied content. For example, I create one page then use the Duplicate Post plugin to duplicate it then I change the content of the new page including the title, keywords in SEO section.

If you modified post title, contents - then there should not be duplicate content penalty. Can you provide example urls of two such posts for better understanding.

Here are 3 Pages optimized for same key phrase "car insurance quote" for different towns:

    http://basileinsurancenj.com/car-insurance-quote-berkeley-heights-nj/
    http://basileinsurancenj.com/car-insurance-quote-bound-brook-nj/
    http://basileinsurancenj.com/car-insurance-quote-bound-brook-nj/

None of these pages are indexed.

You should be focusing your content on the needs, challenges, frustrations and goals of your readers and your niche. http://www.copyblogger.com/fix-your-marketing/

Focusing on SEO is not a good strategy in my opinion.
