Hi, I make a number of sites using the Associate theme (mostly because I know that one best). The customers want them to be "device friendly", but they are never blogs, just websites. If I install Jetpack and use their mobile theme feature it works but it allows for a comment. I have comments on posts turned off. Does anyone know a better plugin or a way around this?

    Hi Monica,

Have you checked that Jetpack Comments are not activated?

Just my humble opinon, but I think you're selling yourself and your clients short by working only from one theme. Especially where that theme is not designed to be "device friendly" and this is what your clients are specifically asking to have. If you want to stay with Associate you can use a plugin but you'll always be limited in your result, just as you've found with Jetpack.

Better that you learn about responsive web design (e.g. http://alistapart.com/article/responsive-web-design ) and take advantage of the many responsive Genesis themes. There are around 300 available, with more than three dozen free of charge.
