Daily Dish theme: resize site-container elements

I am using the Daily Dish theme with a 3-panel layout. The overall site-container width 1200px (content area 720px, sidebar-primary 300px, sidebar-secondary 180px).

I would like to increase the content area to 780px and decrease the sidebar-primary to 240px. However, the .content area does not increase when I make these adjustments in the stylesheet.

Any thoughts on what I'm missing?

Grate question, I want do the same, and reduce pudding between sidebars and content. How to do so? And can I make Theme in full width not box?

I submitted a support ticket but was told that my issue was site-specific and to use Firebug to sort it. However, the adjustments needed are not specific to my site but to the theme (Daily Dish). The only variable is which default setting is selected in Genesis > Theme Settings. I've included a screenshot of the default setting I've selected:

you need to modify the style.css file.

Go to line no 511 and change the width from 300px to 240px

Go to line no 499 and change the width from 240px to 580px

Hope that you're problem will be solved.

That's what I was missing; the change at line 499! Plus I then increased my .content from 720px to 780px as well:

float: right;
width: 780px;
}
