    I cannot make the Daily Dish theme go "full width". I am sure I have full width layout selected under Genesis -> theme settings, and also under Appearance -> Customize.
    I have tried default and landing page templates. It continues to give me with a sidebar widget area.

    What happens if you put this code in your functions file:

    add_filter( 'genesis_pre_get_option_site_layout', '__genesis_return_full_width_content' );

    I added that snippet and nothing happened.

    It is only the homepage that won't go full width -- of course, that is the only one I need to go full width.

    Did you put that in your home.php file?

    Just tried it in my front-page.php. Didn't work.

    Did you remove this?

    // Force content-sidebar layout setting
    add_filter( 'genesis_site_layout', '__genesis_return_content_sidebar' );
