    hello,

i’d love some help customizing the blog comments fields, i am using a child theme, though the creator has said this is to be done through the genesis functions.php file.

i’m lost! i’d like to edit the ‘leave a reply’ heading, the ‘comment’ wording above the comment box, and the ‘post comment’ words on the submit button.

i’ve been through the documentation here though am not a developer so haven’t been able to sort through it all in a way that is clear for me to implement. any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance!

    hi brad,

thank you for your response ~ i don't know how to use either file manager in cpanel or ftp.

best i can do right now is wordpress > appearance > theme editor > genesis theme files

from here i can ‘see’ the style.css, functions.php, css, lib, et al theme files. i’m not sure if this is helpful.

Best to use File Manager in cPanel or FTP when using PHP code. There are many video tutorials about how to use these applications.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zqvsmkEYCY
