    I am a PHP newbie and am a little confused.

    I have created a custom Static Template within the Sample Child Theme, and registered a 'Slideshow' widget area  that will go full-width between the Header & Content Area.

    What code do I need to insert in order to add the Header, Sidebar & Footer? Here is what I have so far.

    STATIC  TEMPLATE

    ***************************

    <?php

    /**
    * Template Name: Static Page
    */

    Header ??

    genesis_widget_area( 'slideshow', array( 'before' => '<div id="slideshow" class="widget-area">' ) );

    Content Area ??

    Sidebar ??

    Footer  ??

    genesis();

    There are a lot of Google search results that give you tutorials on setting up specific types of custom pages:
