Hey all. I'm a bit rusty with Genesis inner-workings as of late, and was wondering what exactly the best route is to remove the normal "site-header" section of a page, and use a custom site-header with said template.

I basically want to have a menu navigation widget in the header, with a download button next to it, but only on pages with this specific template / custom post type (I can use either to determine). My current thought process is to create a "template part" for that custom header, and conditionally remove the normal header, and add in this template part - does that sound right? My main confusion, assuming this is correct, is how to go about adding a menu widget (or of the style of the navigation widget) that's dynamically populated with related materials, but I can likely figure that out.

Anyway, just kind of talking out loud to get my brain working - any input is appreciated!
