Hi. I am a newer Genesis/Wordpress developer. I have begun building sites for clients for the first time. I am wondering when and where it is best practice to create custom meta boxes for clients vs custom widget areas. My goal is to build the most useable interface for them when handing off a theme. What do you use more, widgets or meta-boxes? Is there a certain tutorial recommended for learning how to develop Genesis themes with the emphasis being on client interface? Thanks,
    Amber

It depends on whether you want to display unique content versus the same content.

If you want unique content on dozens of pages/posts, custom fields with a meta box is the way to go otherwise use widgets.
