Custom Fields & Custom template

I can not figure how to make a custom template  for genesis..

I want to make some custom fields and then add them to a template and be able to select that template on my page. I also plan on styling these templates with css.. Can someone guide me to  some easy instructions to do this..

You mean a page template? At it's most basic a page template would need to contain

<?php
/*
Template Name: Landing
*/

genesis();

Then you add what you want to that

Does anyone know how to display like home page horizontal posts within a page or a post. Here the posts I'm talking about and any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
