Custom content columns won't turn off / wrap / work

Hi,

I want to use the included Content Column Class as shown here:

And, I tried to put it into play here:

But, the column is not wrapping.  I've tried one-half, one-third, etc.  I watched the video at StudioPress TV.  What is missing from this instruction?  Will this only work on a Post rather than a Page?  Does it matter which template (default, landing, blog, etc) the page is set to?

Also, I want to have a number of DIFFERENT stories on the same page, with 3 columns each - do I need to turn the <div> tags on and off before and after each story?

The first column begins with:

<div class="one-half first">

You have to end the first column with

</div>

Then to start the second column, you begin with:

<div class="one-half">

..... then end it with

</div>

Column #1 has the word "first" in it. Column #2 doesn't.

Hummmm, I watched the StudioPress TV shot on this again,

And it is simply not obvious.   So, for each chuck of text that I want in column 1 of a two column layout, I need to break the text and end the class.   Then, for the second chunk in the second column, I need to code it separately.  Such as:

COLUMN 1 of a two column layout:

<div class ="one-half first">

text text text.

</div>

COLUMN 2 of a two column layout:

<div class ="one-half">

text text text.

</div>

The video gives the impression - to the untrained eye - that this is a dynamic process.  So, am I explaining it correctly now?

Yes, how you wrote it is how you place the code in there - but you have to do it in TEXT mode and not VISUAL.
