Custom child theme: How can I add singular widget boxes?

I am currently developing my own child theme. For my frontpage, I want to display all my categories with the latest post available. How can I creaty the boxes that are also used for content? Should I add any schemas /itemprops ?

I already got the widgets working but the code looks really untidy and there may be a disadvantage with my Google placement
