    I just updated to WordPress 4.5.2 and the editor is missing form the appearance drop down. I need to get to my css and I can't. I'm working with New Theme.

    p.s. I don't like the new network platform.

    Steve:

    You should deactivate all your plugins to rule out a conflict (sometimes with an updated to WordPress, there are plugins which haven't been updated, and don't work).
