    Hello

I really like some of the new Pro themes but they don't have a main featured widget area on the home page - and I don't want to use a static page or plugin.

Is it possible to code them in so you can use widgets like Featured Page, Text etc?

If yes, is it easy to do and how? I've configured widgets areas previously and have added more when they have already existed....is it the same?

Would love to get some info as I have a 'fear of the unknown' at the moment.

Which theme are you trying to add the widget area to? StudioPress has a short how-to for adding a widget area, but it doesn't go into a lot of detail. Let us know if you need more details to get you started in the right direction.

    Hi Chris

I suppose I'd like to know for all of the non-widgetized home themes - or do they all just follow the same rules from that how-to?

Just finding a lot of them unusable atm for static web design because of focus on the posts for blogs so would like to stop winging and just design............shall just try if it is that easy 🙂
