I would like to use Decor as a theme, but I want to use more of a blue based color scheme. It's not one of the options. How do I change that?

    CSS

    http://www.w3schools.com/css/

I know that genesis touts itself as an easy-to-use wordpress framework, but in reality, you need to learn CSS if you want to change colors more than just the default options. And you are going to (in my opinion) need to learn how to use hooks and actions to customize certain features as well.

If you aren't willing to learn CSS then you have to decide if you are ok with the default color patterns available or not, and if not, you have to decide if you are willing to learn CSS or if you are willing to pay someone to do it for you.

And while widgets can help add certain features to your site, it's not always good to rely on them. Sometimes the people who created those widgets stop supporting them and they become a security vulnerability.
