Corporate Pro Header Right Search Widget

I've placed a WordPress Search widget in the Header Right widget area of the Corporate Pro theme, but the search toggle icon doesn't show up. If I hover over the area my cursor changes and I can click and toggle open the search field, but the search icon is invisible.

Also, the Close icon for the search field looks odd, like four repeating X icons.

Wondering how I fix this issue.

Just realized the search toggle icon doesn't show up unless you scroll down the page a bit. The icon to close the search window still looks odd, however.
