    Hello,

I have all the right boxes checked on the backend for readers to be able to comment on my blog posts, but there is no comment form on any of my posts. One reader has submitted two comments, which appear in my dashboard, but not on the posts she tried commenting on. I have no idea how she even was able to comment. My website manager doesn't understand what's happening either. Please help, because I'd love for readers to be able to comment.

Provide a link to a blog post that has comments. Are you sure they are not being held for moderation? Have they been approved?

Yes, I am the one that approves comments. I don't know how this approved person was able to comment because there is no comment form, but her comment shows up in my dashboard under "Comments." Here is a link to the post she commented on: https://www.lunarivervoices.com/blog/create-a-personal-retreat-at-home/. You can't see her comment but I can see it in the dashboard.

I've checked all the boxes to allow comments but still no form shows up on any of my blogs.

I think you have a plugin conflict and it could be Jetpack. But you also have some sort of "no right click" or copy protection on the website. Deactivate that. Google is having issues crawling content that have copy protect but that could be blocking something. She could be sending you comments from WordPress.com since you have Jetpack installed.

I did notice that you can't copy the content from my webpage. Not sure how that happened or why. I'll see how to go about de-activating, unless you know?

I can't see if there's a plugin in there. Look for a plugin.

I don't see a plugin that would limit someone's ability to right-click and copy. But I did go into WordPress and check a box about allowing comments; it was unchecked. However, I'm still not seeing a comment form on my posts.

Then it's some code in the functions.php file that's blocking the content. The theme didn't come that way so some sort of code was added.

Oh boy; I'll whether the guy who installed the theme and helped me build pages knows where that might be. He's not that savvy, unfortunately. I may have to get someone else in there to see what's going on.

    I appreciate your responses.

@lunariver if you need help finding that code in there, feel free to reach out to me on my website which is in my signature footer. That would be annoying not to be able to find it.

Hello At first I want to introduce myself. I am Mehedi. I am a movie reviewer and analyst.
    Your Solution:
This option (embedded) uses third-party cookies to connect users to comments. Many people disable third-party cookies on their browsers, and that is the usual cause of this problem.

Because of the nature of the internet, this is out of your hands, because it is a choice that users make in their browser settings.

Hello Mehedi. I tried disabling third-party cookies and my site still doesn't show the comments feature. Something else is happening. Thank you for your response.

The solution for her was to deactivate the comments and pingbacks and then re-activate them. The comment box then displayed. I'll close this as resolved.
