    Hey all,

    i hope someone can help me with this.

    I'd like to allow visitors to comment directly on the homepage, not only on other pages and posts. We've done that in the past with other sites (and other theme's) like this one http://campnou.nl/ which worked well for us.
    Is there a way to do that?

    The site in question is this: http://campnou.de/ (placeholder content).

    I am a marketer, not a developer so this might be a silly question 🙂 Any help would be much appreciated!

    Hi Stefanie,

    you can try adding this

    Add comment form to archive posts

    to your functions.php
    You can adjust the conditional to your needs.

    Hi Christopher,

    thanks for your reply! I'm afraid that it doesn't work (or i am doing something wrong).

    I've added this code to my functions.php:

    function add_genesis_comments() {
    global $withcomments;
    if ( is_front-page() ) {
    $withcomments = 1;
    comments_template();
    }
    }

    add_action( 'genesis_after_entry', 'add_genesis_comments' );

    Also tried with is_home and variations of frontpage (front_page etc.).
