Trying to figure out why my comments aren't visible in Centric Pro. I've added the disqus plugin properly. I can see the avatars of the commenters, but not the text of the comment. If I highlight the space where the comment is, I can see it. So, I guess somehow, the text is white.

In my discuss settings, I've set it to "auto" for appearance, which should take into consideration that the comments are against a light background. However, this doesn't seem to be working.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

An example post (scroll down for comments section) is here:

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
That Disqus code is very dense, but essentially what's happening is that it's asking for white text. I don't know Disqus, but I can point you in a direction. The CSS code from there is labeled "dark". I'm guessing they mean to say that it's a dark background, and thus are pumping out light text, whereas maybe you thought this meant dark text if there's a setting to that effect.

So instead of choosing "auto", try other Disqus settings, maybe look for "light" or something along that line.

    Good luck,
    Dave

    Thanks, Dave.

Yeah, I tried all of the settings. Thing is, as the page is loading, I see a flash of visible copy , but then the page ends up looking like this:

I strongly suspect it's something in the Centric code that's "covering" the comments.

    Anyway, thanks for your suggestions.

    Rob,
I can see all the comments just fine on the page, and in more than 1 browser. I hope that's good news. 🙂

I wonder if you have a browser setting that's messing up the view, or something else interfering with a normal site view.

    Dave

I'm reviving this thread because I am having a problem getting comments to work. I don't have discus, but my comments are not working anyway. Currently, I have switched to the 2015 theme from WordPress to show that comments work on that theme but not on Centric.
