Greetings - I have a site that features products that often share many (but not all) attributes. Lets say 65% of the information for each product is similar. Currently, when I create new product pages, I open a current product page in edit mode and then open another tab on my browser to create the new product page. I'll switch back and forth copying info from the current product into the new page window. Of course certain elements on the new page are different such as the meta info, permalink etc... These will be edited.

    Yes, this is very inefficient.

So my question is, is there a way I can clone (copy a page) and during the process change the relevant items (such as the permalink etc...) and then publish? One plugin I found that might work is http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicate-post/

Any other suggestions other than this plugin?

    Any insight is appreciated!

    Thanks
    Tim

That plugin works fine. If I remember correctly it even lets you clone CPT entries, not just Posts and Pages.

Thanks! I'll give it a try today after making a backup.

    Thanks for your insight
