    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows whether there are any plans afoot to make Genesis compatible with Classicpress, please?

I have not thus far upgraded to 5.0.2 and am avoiding it at the moment. I know there are plugins to disable Gutenberg but a switch to Classicpress avoids all of that, it seems.

    Thanks,

    Peter

I don't think that is on the roadmap at all for WPEngine/StudioPress. Most people have not had any issues to 5.0.2. I haven't seen any at least. I haven't had any at all and I manage 23 websites.

Thank you, Anita. I'm glad you've had no problems with it. I've been reading such horror stories of broken websites. Even the folks at Yoast were recommending that we delay installing until it is more stable.

I've got several plugins that are only good to 4.9.9 so I will wait until they have been updated, I think. And then disable Gutenberg with the Classic Editor plugin.

Mercifully, I only have one website to worry about!

    Best regards,

    Peter

I haven't seen any issues with 5.0 or any subsequent issues with Gutenberg DISABLED. I have seen quite a number of issues when Gutenberg is ENABLED. Yoast clearly stated out on Twitter that they were not prepared. I've seen others who had Yoast Premium that had an issue. If you are using an older version of Yoast Premium, you definitely will have issues. You will need to renew your license key, download the latest version and it resolves. I do know that works because it happened on a client site.
