I've just noticed something odd, that probably has a simple explanation. When I view my site in Chrome, it appears that everything is enlarged. I checked my windows settings, as well as the chrome settings, and everything is default, yet a 1200px layout is taking up nearly all of my 1920px monitor width.

    Here's a screenshot:

    resolution issue

I'm using XRAY to see the width of elements, and in GIMP I dragged the measured area of 1200px over to the left, and measured the area to the right. It's roughly 410px, but in order to meet my 1920 resolution (double checked to ensure this is the resolution), it would need another 600+ pixels, but it measured only 400~. Can anyone explain what's going on here?

Update: It appears to be an issue with all browser content in general. I did the math on some pages, it's an exact 25% size increase. I uninstalled browsers, reinstalled, same issue. It must be a windows 8 setting, but I never changed it / can't find it anywhere.

Resolved - there was an overall 150% increase on windows 8 setting hidden pretty deep, I must have changed it when I first got this laptop after being used to a 28'' monitor.
