I'm building a child theme using Genesis. The widget areas in my child theme are suddenly full width above and below the page content area (as if it is mobile). I know it has to be something to do with the way I'm setting up my child theme. Could anyone help? Can anyone recommend a good walk-through on how to link one's child theme with Genesis?

How exactly did you create/set up the child theme? Does functions.php call the parent theme files like it should? Generally, people will use a starter theme like the Genesis Sample theme and customize the files. Your stylesheet seems to be missing a number of necessary/default rules, which is likely why things are out of whack.

I was trying to do it "from scratch", but I will check out the Genesis Sample files. Thanks!
