    Hi,
I am fresh to Genesis framework and I am really overwhelmed with what is offered on Child Themes from StudioPress and 3rd parties. I hope someone can give me some advice. I just want a simple website containing my personal profile description, a page with my CV (would love to have the lay out I have currently in pdf format) and some click throughs (e.g. to another to be built website). Also social media links and preferably some skills bars / pie charts. As I love photography I would love to have a full page image on the background.

I love the One-Page Genesis Child Theme developed by Shridhar Katakam back in 2014 but I doubt if it is responsive. The Resume theme "Rachel" is not really what I am looking for. For the moment I have the Sample Page that comes with Genesis Framework but that does not do the job for me.

As might be clear, I am a novice to Genesis and relatively new to WordPress as well so I think I need a strong theme and some plugins?

    Anyone advise? Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,

    Rene

Sridhar's one page theme here is definitely responsive. 🙂

Other themes that could work for you are:
Parallax Pro (use only one sidebar)
    Modern Studio Pro
Sixteen Nine Pro (use only one sidebar)
    Lifestyle Pro
There are a few others, too.

It's work, but straightforward to set up the themes, if you follow the setup instructions step-by-step. Then once that's done, you can ask about making changes.

    Thanks a lot Marcy!

I will try Sridhars one page first. And yes, I will follow setup instructions first!

    Regards,

    Rene
