I'm using a static page as home page on my website. It was created 1 year ago, & I now rank pretty well on google & I'm doing Adword campaing linked to the homepage. When we use a static page as a Homepage, the title of the page isn't in the adress (ex: http://www.website.com). If we then browse on other page, we can see the title such as http://www.website.com/services/ -> Which correspond to the page permalink.

Let's say my homepage is called "homepage" in the title box, why isn't shown in the address bar when landing on the site ? (such as http://www.website.com/homepage/)

I want to understand because I just noticed I have a spelling mistake in my homepage title. (Believe it or not, after 1 year) Now, If I change the title..... it doesn't change anything on the adress bar since the title wasn't shown anyway.......

So... do I have to do a 301 redirect ?

If you changed the permalink, you should do a redirect. So, your page used to be called "Services" and the URL was /services/. If you're changing the title to "Homepage" but you're leaving the URL as /services/ you're fine.
