Hi,
My site is http://adultacnetreatmentreviews.com. As its new year 2014 now, I need to update my footer.
Currently I'm using Genesis Simple Edits and I have the footer codes displayed as below:
<div class=”gototop”><p>[footer_backtotop]</p></div><div class=”creds”><p>Copyright [footer_copyright] ยท Adult Acne Treatment Reviews ยท Theme by StudioPress<br><font size=”2โณ>If I create a link to a product in a review, sometimes I may get paid a commission if a visitor to my site purchases the product. For more details, please see my <u>Disclosure Policy</u>.</font></p></div>
I'm not sure whether I need to change anything here as I don't see 2013 within this code. Does it mean that it will automatically update the year by itself? Or do I have to change it elsewhere?
Thanks.
Regards,

Go to Dashboard -> General Settings page -> Select your time zone from the drop down. Thenyear will change based on your local time.

If you want to display a span of years - for example, if you want it to say 2013-2014 once tomorrow gets here, you can change the shortcode to [footer_copyright first="2013"]. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the suggestions! ๐
Ok. As nutsandbolts mentioned, since my site started since 2011, and I want to change it to 2011-2014, will the year '2014' automatically change to 2015 next year while 2011 still remains?
Basically, if I do this, then is it an automated update?
December 31, 2013 at 11:37 am #82337nutsandboltsMemberYes, that's correct. If you use [footer_copyright first="2011"] then the trailing year will update automatically.

Thanks a lot nutsandbolts! Haha! Sorry, I don't know your name and so I have to call you like that as displayed! Happy New Year 2014 to you and the rest of the studiopress members! ๐
