    I am using Genesis Simple Sidebars - I have one specific sidebar s-ad that I want to change the background-color to transparent.

    I have tried many different pieces of code - the last one in the css is:

    #sidebar_s-ad .widget-wrap {
    background-color: #transparent;
    }

    But the background-color remains the #sidebar .widget-wrap default color of #F2F2F2.

    I appreciate any assistance on this issue.

    Thank you.

    I have found the answer -

    .page-id-169 #sidebar .widget-wrap {
    background-color: transparent;
    }

    i am not sure if it is related.

    but how can i do the same for only the posts ..

    for example on home page / pages i want sidebar background to be white. in the single post i want it to be grey.?

    Try using the post class .single-post and the class for pages .page.

    .single-post #sidebar {
    background-color: grey;
    }

    And

    .page #sidebar {
    background-color: #fff;
    }

    Normally the default color will be white so you may not need to add this code.
