How can I code the category page to only show "category snippets" (at the top) on the first page of the category? For this site, I am using the Genesis Sample Theme.

I've attached a URL to one of my category pages in the designated line on this form.

    Thanks!
    Lizzie

You can create a custom category archive page and add/remove code in that template file to customize the page.

Also, please clarify what you mean by "category snippets".

    Hi Brad!

"Snippets" was the wrong word to use. I should have said category "descriptions".

Last week, when I was searching Google for the keyword "customizing category pages", your article came up on the first page and I bookmarked it. I thought maybe there was a shortcut but I guess there isn't. I'll go back and take another look at your article.

    Thanks for the prompt response!
