    Hi guys,

I recently switched over to Genesis on the Prose theme and thoughts things were working okay. I just noticed that the category & tag links are not working on my site. When you click a category and expect to see a list of posts in the category, it always returns the last 5 posts.

Here's an example: http://betterwithveggies.com/category/food/recipe-food. This is for the recipe-food category, but the second post does not have that category assigned. When I click "next page" the same 5 posts are returned.

    Any ideas?

Hi Heather, I think I might jump on this bandwagon as I'm having a similar problem on our website. (Sorry I can't offer any help!)

I'm using Genesis with the Maximum child theme. Unfortunately, for our site this mainly happens on the home page (where we've got our most recent 10 posts showing) but it works fine on the category pages.

If you go to http://www.thestudygurus.com/ and click next page (at the very bottom) then you get to http://www.thestudygurus.com/page/2/ which shows exactly the same posts.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for any help 🙂

    Chris

I did finally figure this out yesterday. It looks like genesis is not compatible with the permalink structure of year/month/post-title in WP. I changed that to just post-title (setting up the redirects for any links people already know) and everything started working. Give that a try and see if it helps you too!

Thanks for the response Heather, I'm glad you got it working!

Unfortunately our permalink structure is already just 'post-title'.

I suppose it's probably better to be happening on the home page rather than a category page, but it'd still be nice to get it working.

    Thanks again,

    Chris
