I have two sites, the live site, and a test site on another domain (also live, but nobody knows of it, not indexed, etc). I prefer it being live rather than local, because it's easier to work with for me.

Anyway, Both sites are identical, same users, file permissions, etc, but the live site refuses to update genesis, where as the test site updated just fine. I've been looking through the directories at users, permissions, etc, and I can't spot any differences. More specifically, it's just the theme that's updating /genesis, and everything is identical for both, even the ftp user defined in the wp-config.php file.

    Here's the error I get: http://pastebin.com/Sin2geH8

I'm using a VPS through digital ocean, which is why my users / permissions are a bit strict (user for wordpress, www:data, etc), but it all works aside from this. I've never had an issue updating, but now it won't, and I don't know why. Any ideas?

Odd, I changed the /genesis directory owner / group to be www-data:www-data, instead of wp-user:wp-user (like the test site currently is), and it worked just fine. MAYBE I changed the test site to that settings, updated, then changed back, but I feel like I would remember that.

If anyone has any insight, I'd love to learn form this, if not, it's working, and oh well.
