Hi - I switched from Monochrome to Gallery Pro. I'm trying to update the functions.php page in Gallery Pro, but get the error below. I can change the functions.php page in Monochrome just fine, as well as other studiopress themes. The Gallery Pro Developer said it's not a problem with the theme. I've searched online but so far none of the troubleshooting tips work. Any suggestions?

That message is not theme-related. WordPress put in certain mechanisms to prevent you from modifying in the dashboard. This reduces the risk of the WSOD (white screen of death). Typically you can modify the style.css files just fine, but when you move into say the functions.php file which controls the whole theme, or even templates or other PHP files, you will get that message. You really should use an FTP program like Filezilla to connect to the site to make edits. This way if you do get the WSOD, you can reverse what you did and bring the site back quickly.
