Can't remove author box in Genesis 2.0.1

I have Genesis 2.0.1 and I'm trying to reposition the author box on single blog posts. I can insert the author box in another position successfully using:
add_action( 'genesis_entry_footer', 'genesis_do_author_box_single' );

but I can't for some reason remove the old author box using:

remove_action( 'genesis_after_entry', 'genesis_do_author_box_single' );

I'm using the' Genesis Visual Hook Guide' plugin, and it shows that the author box appears directly underneath where the hook guide shows 'genesis_after_entry' - anyone have any idea why I can't remove it please?

Hi Mark,

Try to add the priority as well remove_action( 'genesis_after_entry', 'genesis_do_author_box_single', 8 );.
If still doesn't work, that's depend on which theme that you are using.
