I'm sick and tired of this way of doing translation, that you have chosen with the Genesis framework. It's a constant PIA that it can't just work as easy as everything else, just using the simple WP standards for handling internationalisation and translation.

I'm sure that there is a very good reason to be holding on to your current way of doing it - but I fail to see it. Please enlighten me.

    Hi Morten,

since this is a community forum with mostly volunteers, your complaint is better directed at the official Studiopress support at my.studiopress.com/help

I know that, but I can't be the only one, that is bothered by this stray from a perfectly good standard. And if more people join in the choir, it has a lot better chance of being heard.

Also, if there's a perfectly good reason for the situation to be as it is, the answer will be here for all to see - now and in the future, when the next programmer gets annoyed.

So I just sit here and hope, that some official will come by now and then... 😉

LOL - Today I discovered that the translation already is it's way towards the standard WP handling!

    Thank you!

    "Important Update!

Genesis Translations will soon rely on the same mechanism used to provide and update WordPress's core, plugins and themes translations files.

You can help! Please take the time to translate this plugin which includes all the strings for the Genesis Framework. We have a tutorial available for anyone wanting to contribute translating the Genesis Framework.

Please visit our Knowledge Base for instruction on how to help."

    *thumbs up*
