    I have a client who would like to have a SIDEBAR-CONTENT-SIDEBAR default layout option, but one that is PRIMARY-CONTENT-SECONDARY instead of just the SECONDARY-CONTENT-PRIMARY layout that is currently available. She'd like this option in addition to the current sidebar-content-sidebar option, so I can't just adjust the CSS to float the sidebars differently.

    Is this even possible? We'd need it done as a DEFAULT option that is site-wide rather than just an individual page template.

    Hi,

    yes, it is possible.
    If you take a look at genesis\lib\functions\layout.php, you will find the structure and function to register a new layout.
    You can adjust the code from https://my.studiopress.com/snippets/admin-management/
    to set the new layout as default.

    Thanks! I did some more Googling and finally find a little snippet that made it REALLY easy.

    // ADD GENESIS DEFAULT LAYOUT OPTION
    genesis_register_layout( ‘primary-content-secondary', array(
        'label' => 'primary-content-secondary',
        'img' => CHILD_URL . '/images/pcs.jpg’,
    ) );

    I just added this to functions, then adjusted my CSS accordingly to recognize the new body class. Thanks!
