CafePro front page disappear!

First of all, I am new to wordpress customization and new to genesis. I wanted to create a new page template for my site where I was going to add my own php form to it - not even sure if I was using the correct file for creating templates. Please advise 🙂 All I did was copy the page_landing.php file and rename it to my new page template file. Whatever I was trying to accomplish with my newly created page it didn't work, so i simply deleted it and left the page_landing.php intact with no changes. So now when I go to my home page, I don't see my parallax front page anymore, I see only a regular page. I checked in the appearance and my front page is set to static page. What went wrong? I didnt mess with the page_landing.php at all or functions.php for that matter. The navigation and footer on the home page seems to be working fine and so are all my other pages. Can anyone help me with this? What have I done wrong for my front page to disappear? Any help is much appreciated.

Page_landing.php is a separate template for a landing page not the home page template, that would be front_page.php.
Have you read the instructions on how to create your home page? If you set it to a static page it will not show the widgets like the demo.

Hi emasai, thanks for the reply. I am sorry if I wasn't totally clear. I've been working on this site for weeks and my home front page has been set up already. I have 4 front-page sections. However, the home page is not showing anymore. I've been looking around and can't find an answer, so i will try to recover my files from my last backup. I will probably lose some recent work, but better than start my front page from scratch since I customized it big time. Thanks!
