I got an interesting request from an art printing business that wants to promote sales by primarily promoting the artists work. His logic is that he if the artist gets more attention they will order more prints but he doesn't want to sell prints directly to the consumer. I'm trying to find a middle ground between promoting the business and the artists he works with and ended up with this:
Its not complete but I was hoping for some feedback on the layout.
Is it recognizable as being a business site or is it too much like a portfolio? I still need to add a slider to that large gray rectangle that will fit his business. I also feel the site might send the message that he sells art instead of photographing and giclee printing services.
Should I add more color or let the artwork be the color for the site? It feels gray-scale to me.
Please be gentle, I've only started web design recently as a side job and this is my second attempt at the Genesis Framework.
