    How do you get your blog page title to show, i know the excerpts show but how can I just get the title to show before the excerpts start feeding?

    Hi,
    I gather you've set your site to show "latest Posts"? If you'd like a title above that, you could make a new Page, choose "Blog" as your template in the template dropdown, add your title bit to the content, save, and then make that page your homepage instead of latest Posts. (Settings... Reading.... static page, etc.)

    Ciao,
    Dave

    I just did this for a client. If you add a file called page_blog.php in your child theme folder and then add this code:

    <?php
    /**
     *
     * Template Name: Blog
     * This file modifies the blog template.
     *
     * @author Au Coeur Design
     * @link http://www.aucoeurdesign.com
     * @package Genesis
     */

    add_action('genesis_loop', 'genesis_standard_loop', 8);

    genesis();

    The title and any content you have on that page will appear before the loop.

    Good point, Au Coeur. (To The Heart)
    On the one hand, there are many ways of making this happen in WordPress, which is great. On the other hand, the concept of a homepage in WP is pretty confusing. 🙂 Other CMS's make this easier.

    Related to your point.... recently, I've come around to Bill Erickson's way of thinking on this. That said, this takes at least some willingness to write code.
