Blog page doesn't work properly

Hi, I has only tried this with the genesis-sample theme, so I don't know if the problem is related. I want to set a blog-page as the front page of my site, the reason why I just don't select the "your lastest posts" option is because I want to use a page with masonry grid. The problem is that when I set a blog-page (even the blog-page included in the xml file of the theme) the pagination only works with the first page, the link can show "/page/2/" but the content is the same that the first one.

This only happen when I select the blog-page as front page in the "settings-reading" option of the wordpress sidebar. If I select another front page and set the blog-page as "posts page" the pagination works fine. So I don't know how to solve this.
